Aitkenvale State School has a long and proud tradition. The school opened in 1924 and has grown into a uniquely, culturally diverse school, with students attending from many different backgrounds.
Aitkenvale State School believes in developing the potential of each individual child through consistent and quality educational experiences across the curriculum and beyond. We have many opportunities for students to extend their learning in a variety of cultural, sporting and academic extra-curricular activities. We also provide a range of opportunities for students to prioritise their wellbeing.
At Aitkenvale State School, we strive for excellence and pursue constant improvement. We explicitly teach students expected behaviours utilising the Positive Behaviour for Learning Framework. Our students are expected to - Be Safe, Respectful and Responsible and to be an Achiever.
Our school has a number of facilities which provide students with a range of opportunities. These facilities include: a 25m pool, air-conditioned teaching spaces, access to technology, multiple outdoor play areas, green and leafy welcoming grounds, a Community Hub and a community garden.
